With the new Blue Line Extension light rail on its way to open in the beginning of 2017, Optimist Park will be given new opportunities to grow as a community. On the onset of the 9.6 mile long light rail being built will also follow the building of new businesses in the area.

Only a few steps away from where the light rail station will be placed near Optimist Park (Parkwood Station) a new brewery is set to open, Birdsong’s, along with the upcoming Joe’s Doughs and Abari Game Bar.
